Windo Nend - Page 2

Resolving to stay and hold back Stratus' forces long enough for the evacuation to succeed, the Jedi accepted the fact that Cobalt Station would more than likely be their last stand. Out manned and in the face of superior firepower, the Jedi dug in with what little clonetroopers were available and waited for the enemy's forces. When the enemy came, Stratus required no surprise; the Jedi knew they were coming. As the battle began, the Jedi threw themselves against the enemies forces: battle droids, hailfire droids, and specially modified assassin droids design to function in Jabiim's unique environment.

Fighting alongside his brethren, Warble faced innumerable odds. In the end, the odds proved to be just too great, and an explosion rocked his body not more than a meter in front of him, sending Warble flying across the battlefield. As he lay dying, Warble would not go out without one last chance to hurt the enemy. As a hailfire droid rolled near Warble ignited an explosive device destroying both the droid and himself. Warble began the Clone Wars as a Padawan, but died a Jedi Knight. Some time later on New Holstice, Anakin Skywalker, the sole remaining member of the Padawan Pack to survive Jabiim, added Warble's name to a Jedi memorial to honor those Knights who had fallen in battle.
